Pain pills can be dangerous if abused, but they have tremendous potential for assisting a BBer to make the most of recovery time.

I don't think that anyone would argue that opiates (WITHOUT THE DAMN tylenol, apap, or Acetaminophen bound into the pill) can do wonders in reaching psyiological goals, including making workout recovery more productive.

The worst thing about pain pills is the supplemental pain relievers they add to them that wreck your liver when you exceed the recommended dosage. This is deadly, and the FDA should be stepping in here to review policy.

Oxycontin my be a terrible drug for addicts and wrecks many lives, but it's safer on the body than the Percocets, Vicodin, Lortabs, etc. that can do more permanent harm.

None of these drugs should be taken with alcohol for several reasons, but the safest drug overall is oxycontin on the body.

There will always be those who are too ignorant or scared to safely employ opiates as an important part of an effective cycle, and you will never convince those people otherwise. They will always have a horror story ready to share about how pain pills wrecked someone's life they knew, and thus, they can never be safely used without losing everything (unless their Dr. gave them their own, then they are perfectly safe and blessed by the Pope Himself).

Certainly dont be one of the unfortunate individuals who progressively abuse the drugs and end up losing the gains they worked so hard to accomplish.

But Many, MANY BBs use pain pills safely, intelligently, and effectively to help them reach their goals and to assist them in reaching those goals more effectively.
wow bro really good post, what part of Central FL?

Nice post, but can you elaborate (eg. How does a BBer use opiates effectively to assist him in making the most of recovery time)?

Please vote in the poll. Just wanted to get an idea of how many guys use some type of pain pill on a regular basis.

No freakin way! Nubian and all that other stuff really fucks with people's lives. I'll just deal with the pain.

whether nubain/pain meds helps or not....it so dangerous..its hard to be resonsible when i ur fucked up on narcotics. i would never make it a part of my bb lifestyle...too much risk involved. ide rather die from something as dumb ass low blood sugar levels from misuse of insulin than die of a nubain overdose

I'll take Tylenol for headaches.
I have several leftover pain scripts from past surgeries. I keep them for a rainy day that luckly hasn't arrived yet.

I have damaged my feet over the years from walking, running, marching, kicking and doing 500 pound calf raises.

So I take massage and prolotherapy to repair them to about 85%.

I take tramadol for the pain. I will be taking tramadol forever and am glad it is available.

I've also taken a lot of otc pain relief for joint, muscle, tendon & lig pain. This is common for people in sports or training. Again, I'm glad they are available.

I always take the minimum dosage.

yes, I have to take pain medication after I train legs sometimes. Not always though, just depends on how heavy I go on certain exercises. But all my pain meds are prescribed due to the many surgeries I've had on my left knee and leg.
