I am training natural right now, I haven't used gear since 1989.  I think that gear does have a place in the sport but too many people turn to it's use before trying to reach their genectic potential training natural.  I lurk at many sites and I read about people training several years (2-3)  then turning  to gear.  What a joke ! Train for 5-10 years hard, count calories and  put 110% effort then if all else fails try gear.  Anyone that thinks using gear (over a extended period of time ) doesn't have negative physchological effects on a large percentage of people hasn't done any real research on the topic on been engaged in the sport long enough.
