are you an organ donor?

i worry that there may be certain cases where the most effective procedure to save a critical patient is avoided when the patient is an organ donor because the procedure could jeopardize the viability of organs that could potentially be donated, and the procedure is instead replaced by a less effective one that has less of an impact on the other organs.

donation, in my experience, is always an afterthought.

You gotta remember, physicians have pretty big ego's and saving someones life is a much bigger trip for the ego.

MM obviously hacked chris' account.
^^^ :lmao:

On this point he and I probably agree. Seems there is a level of neutrality involved as the transplant team does their thing and the recipient has the lead physician they deal with and often none of those people have contact with the donor other than what arrives in a cooler.
