Are their any martial artist or fighters in here

Lifting power and striking power parallel eachother as long as technique is there.

For the sake of the argument, not arrogance....I'm 6'2" 260 with a little over 20 years MA's, and if you put a little 140 lb turd in front of me with 35 years experience, my money is on me.

Also, do you think traditional ju-jitsu joint manipulation techniques would be applicable against Ronnie Coleman?

Hardcore powerlifters/olympic lifters are some tough fuckers, regardless of fighting experience.

I've seen street fighters with no formal training whatsoever whoop the shit out of respected Martial Artists.

Don't underestimate anyone, there are too many variables and it could always go either way. Shit happens

but, you're generally right, I just had to play devils advocate:)

I play Tekkin Tag and Vertual Fighter 4. I guess I am somewhat of a martial artist. J/K I have been training for several years off and on and the one thing I was taught first was that do not ever underestimate anyone. Second, I learned that if someone talks about it a lot, it probably did not happen.
In conclusion, if that guy would not have underestimated you, you'd probably be finger typing from your laptop from the hospital. In addition, if you are telling everyone about your bout, you may "possibly" be telling a lie.
In short, I think you should go back to class and learn more. I don't think you kicked anyones ass. Let me tell you something bro, if I were on the street and you hit me up, the first thing that would pop into my mind is my family (son) and how he'd like to visit his Dad behind bars. Second, I'd let you show me your stuff. Third, I'd "cut your fucking balls off and hand em' to ya patna."
Martial arts was originated as an art form and a means of self defense. If you abuse your privelages to learn this art, most likely you'll end up crippled, handicapped or dead. Talk is cheap bro.

Sorry bro's. I'm tired of "hearing" how bad-ass everyone is. Elite is not the proving grounds for a bad-ass.

What type of jui-jitsu are you talking about? If you were to put a "good" BJJ purple belt up against coleman. my cash is on the BJJ guy. I know this from experience, big guys are easier to tap out because they are less flexible and it is also easier to choke a big bacause of his traps. My experince here came from my instructor. he is a world class Muay Thai fighter and also holds 5 black belts in varoius martial arts. He is a second stripe purple belt in BJJ. He tied my ass up over and over the first time I ever grappled/fought the guy. I'm 5'10" 240 and i bench 500lbs, he's 5'9" 160lbs and doesn't lift a lot of weight. He's kicked my ass plenty of time and i've got a couple years wrestling and a couple years boxing under me before I ever started to train with him...

As far as the matrial artists go, i fully agree...I've seen plenty of black belts get their asses taxed. We've had a number of traditional guys come spar with us and they get tore up by our white belts...

Ironfist, read closer bro. I said "traditional" ju-jitsu joint manipulations, not shooting in, hitting a single, and fucking him up with BJJ.

What do you train in? For your sake, i hope it isn't traditional martial arts...I'll bet your another one of those kempo guys like we have here in town that won't come spar with guys at my gym because their training is meant to "kill"...ha ha, bunch of pussies, with the way you run your mouth, better hope you never cross paths with a trained NHB fighter because instead of your kid visiting you behind bars, he's gonna be visiting you in intensive care....

I have a friend who fights in the UFC and around the world. He is big and trains hard and looks like a bodybuilder who is about 4 weeks out from a show all the time. His training partner who owns a training gym here is a ranked number #1 contender in his weight class in the UFC. He has also fought for the title in a lower weight class. At his gym their is a stable of pretty good fighters that fight local and regionally and another guy who has fought in the UFC recently. I have trained with my friend who is a heavyweight at the gym some and it's tough. Those guys are disciplined very well and don't go out drinking in bars and don't street fight. They don't want to risk injury or have their career ended by a felony assualt charge from being a pro fighter and beating up someone on the street. Most of them don't talk shit at all ever to anyone.

I also have another friend who is just a bodybuilder and wrestled in high school. He went and watched a local fight and and since he is pretty big and in good shape he went to the fighting gym to check it out. Those guys there liked him so they got him jacked up to try a fight. He trained like for a week or two and he got put on a undercard for a local fight. Well to make a long story short he basically just lifts and trains about once a week or less MMA and he is now 4-0 and has destroyed all his opponents who have had alot of MMA experience and records.
