(yay for remote memory) SAT's are only 14% reliable when it comes to how a student will do in college. high school grades are the best yardstick.

of course you need them. grades dont mean shit. i could get straight a+'s if i went to a school that was composed of mainly black people. grades differ in schools and also you could get fucked and have a hard teacher that fucks you over with grades. the sat's are the same all over so its a much better measuring stick.

im thinking of trying a smart drug combo for when classes start this january. of course you have to fuck around to get the doses right, so i doubt you'd have time to figure out how much you need to maximize memory & concentration.

The point of the SAT is to measure who the stupid ass is. How are we to know who the stupid ass is if we base stupidassness on grades obtained from school's designed to be easy for the stupid ass?

if you went to a school composed of mainly blacks you would probably learn a lot less because you would be busy dodging bullets and fried chicken wings and the teachers would most likely dumb down the material so kids could pass.

i agree that just because you're smart doesn't mean you will get good grades. but it happens far more often than not. if you are betting on money on who will get better grades in college... you bet on the kid with the 1400 before the kid with the 1100. this, of course, takes into account that the kid with the better score will be going to a more difficult academic institution.

School is alot easier than the SATs. I got very good grades in high school by doing the very minimum. There was no reason to do more than I had to.. an A is an A.

However with the SATs, you have to study your ass off AND actually be somewhat smart to get a perfect score. Its actually something to strive for.. unlike the easy A's of high school. High school is a joke when it comes to academics.
