Aqualung

jack sparrow

Think like Jack
Platinum
Sitting on a park bench --
eyeing ittle girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose --
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun --
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck --
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.

Sun streaking cold --
an old man wandering lonely.
Taking time
the only way he knows.
Leg hurting bad,
as he bends to pick a dog-end --
he goes down to the bog
and warms his feet.

Feeling alone --
the army's up the rode
salvation à la mode and
a cup of tea.
Aqualung my friend --
don't start away uneasy
you poor old sod, you see, it's only me.
Do you still remember
December's foggy freeze --
when the ice that
clings on to your beard is
screaming agony.
And you snatch your rattling last breaths
with deep-sea-diver sounds,
and the flowers bloom like
madness in the spring.

Honestly...does anyone know what the hell Jethro Tull was talking about here? Great tune, but dude was clearly stoned out of his mind.

I think he was takling about being so wacked out,and describing what he was seeing in his altered state, lol

Sounds like it has to do with war somehow. Also...what the hell is a "dog end" and what is a "poor old sod"?

Mr. dB will have a full explanation when he logs on.

i respect you bro, but that song has always annoyed me. but that's ok. you know what song kicks ass? slow ride. time to find me some foghat.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...that is the single best song to rail your girl to on a hot summer night.

pdaddy: Both tunes were awesome....liked the first one better though. The lyrics on the Patrick Park tune were spot on.

Alright one more, the last one is from Tom Mcrae, I haven't found a song by him yet that I didn't like.

Dude, this is some cool shit...but Mcrae got cut off there at the end. I think I liked the first and the last the best. I'll have to look into this Tom Mcrae dude...definately some good stuff.

Thanks man!! Double K for you tomorrow!!

Good, I glad you like them bro, nice to know there are others with good taste :)

When I get home, I'll zip up some of my favs and send them your way. You've probably already heard them, but they are still cool. Nothing wrong with a free MP3 right?

Thanks again bor..good shit right here.

Not many people like Ian Anderson's newer stuff, but I thought Crest of a Knave was pretty good. Hot Night in Budapest is a good tune.
