WTF does "militant" mean when describing a person???

I thought maybe because I have a great deal of disilpine(?) in my life, but I guess asshole works too.

I have steadfast opinions and principles , but I'm not billigerent about them.

Instead of rationally talking to someone in a conflict and hearing their side, you may appear to state your opinion, and if they do not agree,
you walk away, dismiss them as silly or fight argue etc to get what you want..
