apartment management signing for delivery?

I'd be curious to know just how many controlled deliveries actually take place.
Seems like an awful waste of time and money screwin with guys buying personal amounts. Not to say they don't go after basic users, but still seems stupid.

the postman left me a note in my mailbox that i had to sign for something and i wasn't home.. even though the lazy jackass never even knocked on my door cause i was home that morning.
anyway the note said i had to take the thing to the post office. it had a bunch of weird markings on it. i didn't take the bait and i wont sign for anything.. would rather lose my money.

the post office people can tell you to hold on and call the police. then when you leave you get arrested. it happens.
ck you have no reason to give advice on this subject you obviously have no idea what your talking about....
poster yes its fine to have them sign...when i lived in miami my front desk signed for everything...no big deal ..if its a controlled delivery there gonna get you no matter what... many times once the package is picked up then later on is when the raid occurs..depending on quantity etc they may let orders pass thru to build a case then once solid bust you

i was replying to stevesmi and i've had my packages taken back to the post office to be picked up many times because i wasnt home...
this is a good point. i think its less risky to get it.
They leverage the small time users to build a case against the dealers.
Without a doubt Joe, and it has your addy on it which makes it worse.
Many times the person who sends it marks off the signature required box which is not a big deal in most cases.
Yea u can let them sign. No UG labs post their website on the package or have it labeled "illegal steroids in package".
As for the US Post Office leaving a pink or green slip stating the attempt to deliver and you now must bring this slip with you to the post office to claim package.. Thats because the site u ordered from requires delivery confirmation to confirm you personally received the package so theres no discrepency when saying the package was lost.. Usually UG sites that require delivery confirmation have cheaper prices but a little bit more expensive on the shipping fee. This is because of their known success rate. So why not take the slip to the Post Office and claim your package?? If you already received that letter then its already passed through customs coming to the US and you're good 2 go. I have personally had to do this twice in the past 5 years.

re-read my post.. I WAS HOME. thats the thing.
The only thing I can say about that from my personal experience is that I was a mail man once for a short time. I was the worst mail man you could ask for. I wouldnt get out of the car, if you had a package that wouldnt fit in the box I honked the horn. If you didnt come out I left a slip and took it back with me. I hated that job. I was a lazy bastard for a mail man. Could be the exact same scenario.
yup its either he was lazy or they were trying to set me up.
i wasn't gonna take that risk though.. he had never done that before and I always wave at him and one time i was pullin out of my driveway and he comes up to me and hands me all my mail and we have a conversation. so i dont think he would hassle me enough to make me drive to the post office like that.
and the fishy thing is the package that i ordered (wont say what it is or who it was from but it was a steroid obviously) was small enough to easily fit my mailbox and i have never had to sign for it or anything.
so there were too many red flags on this one.
