Too many carbs.

FOnz

Half would be good and with some extra Whey in it. I prefer 30g Whey postworkout(like 5 minutes after my workout) no carbs no fat, then 1 hout later I take 50-60g protein. 30g from Casein, and with slow carbs. Seems to work very nice when I cut. If want to bulk and prioritate my arms for example I take about 100g fast carbs post workout with 60-70g protein. I have a fu**ed up stomach so too much whey makes it go nuts.

IMO, I think simply cutting the serving in half will give you an awsome post-workout meal. That would give you about 100 grams of cabs and 25 grams of protein.

For post exercise recovery, some good research tells us that 100 grams of high glycemic carbs coupled with a quality protein in a 4:1 ratio is near optimal.

Cutting it in half also helps because that stuff is as thick as syrup, it would be tough do drink if you didnt dilute it a little(it doesnt taste too bad though).

Agreed!

If I absolutely need something and don't have my regular post workout shake then I might have one -- I'm just as likely to stop and buy a quart of chocolate milk too.

Based on studies done with olympic gymnasts, who are likely in a more catabolic state than bbers, proper post workout nutrition is going to come in at about .8 gr carb/kg + .4 gr protein/kg. For a 220-lb individual, this equates to 80 gr/carbs, 40 protein. I use a 35% CFM whey isolate/65% dextrose blend or a 20% CFM + 20% rice protein/60% dextrose blend post workout. These formulations provide the appropriate carb/protein ratio, are fast acting and have virtually no fat.

Another thing, FDA requires all RTDs to be boiled, so it completely denatures protein content. You get a bare-bones protein supp with any RTD.

Hmmm, intresting. I think it would be fine depending on your weight. If you were 260+ it might be ok.

I for one stick with 40grams protien, about 120carbs from Dextrose, 10 grams creatine, 300mg r-ala. Kicks ass for me.

When I can afford it I will get an Ultra fuel at the gym and then 15 to 20 min. latter an EAS whey shake with 40 grams of protien.
