The Libertines were hailed as the next big thing and had a few hits and an acclaimed album then split cos doherty was such a junkie he started stealing from the band. This made him hit the headlines with all his court cases and arrests, kate moss came along and said she'd change him and got busted for drugs herself so she's in the news all the time too and he's always brought up. He's done very little and is crap live most of the time.
