Just wondering about reception/service/etc. I'm currently on t-mobile, but my contract has been up for over a year so I'm free to move with no penalty.

I'm only asking because I see they have a $50/month unlimited everything plan with no throttling. I have friends who pay more than that monthly just for data, not including calls/texts. Almost seems too good to be true, so I'm curious if anyone uses them.

I have a pp phone from them, have had no problems at all. I started at 60/month and they told me if I paid on time each month it would eventually be 30/month. I'm still at 50/month. Not sure when it goes down below 50

I had em a few yrs back...I forget who owns them tho...sprint maybe?

my data plan is more than that between the data plan and the BB service...and I have unlimited txt (teenager on the line) ...so yeah, roughly four times that for two phones on a shared plan

I actually have to get on cancelling the other line because the phone cooked in the fire and the teenager moved in with her dad

they were a an alright service at the time...I liked not having a contract

I have and like Virgin Mobile, they are in the Sprint network so coverage is awesome and I pay $25 for unlimited data, unlimited text and picture messages and 300 minutes, no contract...

i could care less about contracts..not like i'm gonna dump my cell service ever.

nice to see people on here liking the service. the phones they offer are kinda meh..but $50 unlimited is pretty sweet. anyone have the samsung prevail? that seems to be the best phone they offer. i've looked up the reviews on it and it seems pretty mixed.

almost everyone i know has hated Boost. Reception is bad. You get a lot of dropped calls and delayed messaging.

Boost is NEXTEL/SPRINT...The service is garbage for most of the country, it is only used for the 2-way walkie talkie feature. The data speeds are next to nothing anyways so they cant throttle it back, also the fine print states "fair use", if they feel you use your phone TOO much they reserve the right to end your service. Virgin mobile works on Sprint's half and not Nextel's so you would be better with VIRGIN than BOOST.

Also BOOST and VIRGIN (along with most prepaid services) just pay the larger carrier for a certain % of bandwidth on the major carrier spectrum. In this case BOOST only gets use of about 20% of Nextel's coverage, so 20% of the already non-existent coverage.
