Anyone googled their username and found EF threads?

Yup that is why I changed mine from my original, the only threads that came up in the search were by me. They threads from here and a few other boards I used to go to a fair bit. I wanted Elite to remain my place only so I changed my name to this.

For starters this is not a question. I found something that worked and I'm passing it along.

My baby has suffered just about everything. She will only take soy formula which causes constipation. She has reflux and is prone to give herself ear infections. This is just some background so you know my baby is not easy. I think once she has slept for 5 hours straight. My wife and I are trying the no cry sleep solution (hah). I think the advice is sound but getting my baby to sleep sometimes has been difficult. One time I spent over an hour pacing the house with baby and earplugs trying to get her to sleep. That night we resorted to a car ride to get her to sleep.

Any way I noticed that if she (my baby) would just close her eyes she would fall asleep. Otherwise she would keep looking around and keep herself awake. So I took her to our storage room in the basement. When the door is closed you cannot see your hand in front of your face. It worked. At the first sign of being tired I can get her to sleep in about 5 minutes. Last night I did it three times. She got so tired she would not take her last bottle and only screamed when the nipple was placed in her mouth. So I got her to sleep an then stuck the nipple in her mouth and she downed part of it before waking up. I did that twice more to finish the bottle and then put her down for the night.

The bathroom works as well but I have to put a towel under the door to keep the light out. If she wakes up from a nap to early I can use the same technique to get her back to sleep for a longer nap. Now I’m trying to black out the windows so she can just stay asleep in her room. She still wakes up 4 or 5 times a night eats an ounce and goes back to sleep, but we are hoping the no cry sleep solution will help with that.
