Anyone get joint pain in the winter

It seems to me that when winter rolls, this winter more so that others that i remember, my joints have started to ache more even when not working out. Could it be the cold? I have alos noticed that my water consumption is lower than it should be. Could lack of enough water lead to aches?

yes I think joint pain is a possibility in colder weather. I've had bouts of elbow tendonitis within past 2 years. One thing I've done to help tamper it is to begin sleeping with some sort of sleeve over my elbows, to keep them warmer when asleep. Same might apply to other joints: hands, use gloves at night; knees, wear some sort of sleeve at night; etc.

You might also have to begin working on various exercises you might not have done much before, specifically to help rehabilitate or "prehabilitate" whatever joints bother you. For my elbow, for example, I found that Reverse Wrist Curls almost miraculously made the pain go away immediately. I had rarely ever performed specific wrist exercises before, but the simple addition of various Wrist flexion & extension exercises has made a world of difference.

I bet water consumption makes a difference, too.

I have poor circulation- I know because my hands, feet and nose are always ice cold!

I don't really feel the cold however, because I go out running in it couple of times a week and I'm just used to it. When jogging to the gym for a workout in winter (about 1.5 miles) I will wear at least 4 layers on top and some kind of nylon cycling shorts to keep me good and warm. I like to take extra-long warming up and remove the layers slowly as the workout progresses.

As an aside:

Some gyms have the AC set WAY to low (like 16-17 deg C). At worst, it actually restricts bloodflow from the muscles, sending it to the inner core. It causes us to sweat less and lose bodyheat too rapidly when exercising. This also causes poeple who are doing cardio to burn less calories when training because one of the most energy demanding things that we do when exercising is trying to stay cool.

It doesn't get too cold here:) I always try to keep a sweat when training and stay fairly cool when not training though.

Stay warm when training, wear layers. I used to always wear sweat pants, tank top, t shirt, and flannel when training. Now I'll also wear a beanie as well.

Make sure to get those Omega 3's...
