Anyone familiar with 'Pharanol'?

About 4 weeks ago, my friend got hold of a small bottle containing a clear liquid he called 'Pharanol'...(possibly mispelled).

He claimed it was similar to GHB (possibibly a precusor) and I took about two droppers worth with my g/f on a Saturday night. We had a really great time for about 2 hours and then I passed out in the living room.

I woke up about 3 hours later having sex with my g/f in the bedroom. It was really strange in the sense that I didn't gradually wake up or anything. One minute I was sitting in the livingroom with a bunch of friends and then BLAMO...I'm going at it in the bedroom 3 hours later.

Anyway, I woke up the next morning..(feeling great)...and went in to clean the kitchen. When I picked up one of the glasses used for the Pharanol from the previous night, the bottom fell right off. It wasn't jagged broken, but sheared. Scared the shit out of me.

I'm curious if anyone else has hear of 'Pharanol' before and exactly what the hell it is. I've got some more left over, but won't be trying it again until i'm better informed.

you are probably talking about furenol, its a precursor to g, much like 1,4 i believe, or it may be even the same thing as 1,4, i'll check

Some supplement manufacturers used to call their GBL, ' furenone di hydro'.

yes it is GBL. It sucks in a sense compared to GHB because it tastes like shit compared to GHB and it makes you sleepy. If you're doing it, you better keep doing it othewise you will fall asleep. Start off with a couple of drops and if it doesn't hit you in 1/2 hour then take a few more. Don't drop it straight in your mouth because it can burn your tongue. always mix it with some liquid.

we use to do that. its called furenone just like jacob said. it came in a little brown bottle with a dropper. i remember putting a cap(from the little brown bottle) into a plastic cup then went to answer the phone. when i came back the whole bottom of the cup was gone. when i use to party hard i would do a bottle of it in a whole day(i wouldn't advise, not real smart). it gets you banged up & little bit fired up. but theres nothing like the real g.

Does either GBL or 1,4 retain the benefits of regular old 'G'? (e.g. Enhanced Sleep, Possible GH stimulation, anti - Depressant, etc...)

If not, are they considered more dangerous with regards to possible sides?

Benefits of G -

Enhanced Sleep - eventually you wont be able to sleep without it, and then only for 3-4 hours at a time

GH stimulation - neglible

Anti-depressant - you'll need em when coming off


I would say the only reason to do G is to get a buzz without the calories or a hangover.

I agree....I can't sleep for shit on G onless I g myself out. I can only play 3-4 hours top, but deep REM sleep which equals to 5-7 hours of regular sleep.

GH stimulation, eh....I don't know...I know it gets me hard and ripped, it's kind of like a diuretic.
