My friend is trying to talk me into it, i already have a sponsor if i decide to go forward with it

I heard its pretty tough, 260 questions in 6 hrs. I also know someone who took it 5 times before he passed it.
Im not sure how much time i might need to prepare for it, what i should concentrate on.

any tips?? anyone?

thanx

eh...you should probably take a class and do alot of studying.

it's not THAT hard. i've had alot of friends who are stock brokers and who have passed it.

just requires alot of prep.

stock up on some ADHD meds and you're set :p

I took it in '91. It's a lot of memorization. You can't possibly learn it all. I think I studied 2 hours a day for 2 months then took a week long class right before. I got 85% and I'm no genius.

85 its pretty good

did you have to take series 63 as well??

Be careful with using stimulants when studying, as from what Dialtone said, it would seem you're focussing on memory encoding here -- not just regurgitating mindless drivel or doing busy work. You're going to want time for things to really sink in.

I have no idea what this exam is, but do there exist any reputable study guides or courses that would help you better plan and focus your studying efforts?

That, my 66, my 4, and my 24. Studying for my 9/10 currently.

If you study youll pass.

By the way, if Ameriprise is sponsoring you, please run away.

Also, options is the section that will fuck with you the most, yet it makes up the largest portion of the exam.

Speed through the book then focus on doing as many practice tests as possible.
