Anyone ever take a week off lifting mid-cycle?

I might have to cause I am going on a trip. I either have to not lift for a week, or start the cycle when I get back. I figure I will be in my 3 week if so.
 
First option: Wait till after your trip.
Second Option: Wait till after your trip.
Third option: Refer back to option #1

If you must, you can still workout on your trip, no? Atleast do multi-joint excersises on the floor and bring some cal+protien powder with ya.
 
I kind of figured I would have to wait, but I wanted to be done by January. I am going on a hunting trip for a week, so lifting is not an option unless I carry around rocks.:(
 
taking off for just 1 week wont ruin your cycle, just hit it extra hard before you go and resume when you get back. dont stop your cycle though. as always , just my opinion though.
 
MP5, You could wait till you get back to start, but it won't kill you to take a week off. just train hard and eat right till about 4-5 days before you go and then work your ass off those days till you leave, since you have some rest time and the juice in your muscles will repair nicely. Rest for first three days of your trip and the last few do set of various push ups, find something to do some pull ups, a few things to curl, and most importantly keep up your diet and you will be ready to come back and hit the gym with 110%. This summer at the Start of my last cycle I had to take a week off training due to vacation but it was good for me. I got to relax and still kept up a strict diet and the next week when I got back into the gym I had one of the best chest workouts ever. 1 week is fine bro...relax enjoy and when you get back, go ballz to the wall. 1 more thing mass monster brought up;eat while on your trip. eat lke a horse. on a hunting trip there should be lots of red meat, eat it! happy hunting.
 
A week off in the middle is good for me. Most of us overtrain when "on" so as to get our money's worth. I gain better after that recovery time.
 
Rest is very important to growth. I think we all overtrain sometimes. We feel like we are "losing something" when we don't go to the gym for 4 or 5 days. I'll bet missing a week might even help your gains. Why don't you try and let us all know. ;)
 
Rest is good along with lots of food it will cause growth.

Taking a week off is fine during a cycle as long as your cycle lasts more than 2 weeks :)
