Anyone ever hang a flat panel tv?

they say you should sit no closer than 12 feet from a 50 inch tv. si if your closer than 12 feet than go smaller.

I don't have the chart in front of me, but my guess is this is way WRONG. The guy getting a 46 instead of a 52, would be better off with the 52. No one gets a Tv and says "it's too big". not with HDTV. Like I said earlier, I just installed one for my sister and they are less than 12 feet away and it's perfect size.

It's a 50 inch and $1100. (Panasonic plasma, I mentioned it above) lol @ $2600 and other prices. Seriously folks, look at the $1100 TV first, if your eye does not like it, THEN pay $2600 for a 50 or 52 inch.

and listen to Poink too. wtf? These prices are high. shop around! online...

Also, make sure the HTiB (surround sound system) you get for the TV is compatible in regards to inputs that the TV or other components you have will connect to it. If you need an hdmi or two, or digital audio etc... make sure your HTiB has those inputs or outputs or whatever your plans are. good luck.

PS If you want "the best of the best", then get the Pioneer KURO. Nuff said.

strongly agree, my brother has one

My place came with some sort of bracket already in the wall for hanging the tv - The Home Theather guy who installed it offered me a package with the Pioneer Kuro but wanted like $6000 with surrond sound.

I hear what your saying about the 52" but when I went to the store it just seemed to overwhelming for the space.
