Anyone else like Dave Ramsey...

I just got his book The Total Money Makeover. I can't wait to read it. I love his radio show. I know his ideas are nothing new but I still love the show. Anyone else a fan of his ideas, etc?

I am! I follow a lot of his pricipals but the one thing I cannot wrap my head around is the debt snowball. It makes sense to do that to an extent, but I am guilty of still trying to move money around and paying off things with higher interest rates, ect.

But anyway, YES! We're big fans. Going on cash for many things has been a huge eye opener for where the money actually goes.

Yes. I'm trying to live like a pauper until Devin is 6 so that I can be debt free by the time he starts school. As a reward, I want to take him to Disney World and buy a house. =-)

so you revert back to living like a college student on campus? i don;t think the diet part would work for a bodybuilder or someone like me with a near bottomless pit for a stomach. but I do save $$$ by packing my own lunch for work. I mainly survive on shakes, PBJ's or ham and cheese sammiches and some snacky cakes like strawberry shortcake rolls or honey buns.
