Anyone else feel like a fat slob??

I'm only taking 2 weeks off of lifting (and VERY stressful at that) before starting again on Monday, but DAMN! I swear when i look in the mirror i look/feel like i've gained 10lbs of fat! I'm on maintenance diet at that!

Too me this is a good thing though! Fuel the fire baby!!!

anyone else feel this way? i hope i'm not the only one
 
well yeah..i feel like a fat ass slob compared to all these ripped lean ass muhfuckas on the site..lol

i'm still out of commission from my oral surgery, but damn, when i'm ready to go...cutting starts and gonna kill that shit in the gym

Yeah I know what you mean. I had almost 2 months off after surgery & I feel horrible. Never gained weight, lbut I loss muscle & I feel like a jiggly slob.

That's horrible. Make sure to take it easy enough that you don't mess it up again. How long does it take to heal from that?
 
Do yourself a favor, enjoy the holidays, eat that 3rd slice of pie drink that extra drink, skip the gym, heal your body, then once the new year hits, get back in the game. I mean if your not dieting serious now, might as well enjoy all the festivities and not be too hard on your self, bears hibernate in the winter, before I worked so hard to get where i am, winter was a time to lax on diet and training.

Enjoy and trust me you not nearly as fat as you think.

i'm dealing with a herniated disk in my back... lowest disk, L5, and i can't, well, haven't done cardio in about 2 weeks... i can't stand it. i have lifted upper body but without cardio i feel like a fat a$$ totally.

sigh... stupid old body... wait a minute, i'm 27

yup...moo here too...........cept mine is 99% clean, just doubled the cals.......my goal is to absolutely hate eating and I'm pretty close.......makes cutting 100% easier.........

I would say that your attitude is great...your mind can be a great alley..However, getting stressed over this definetly needs to be noted..If you can't take a week or two of lifting without tearing yourself down-it could be a future concern..

its the fat kid coming out in me again. :( You should see how stressed i am when bulking.. its cool though, i'm always just afraid that i'm gonna look in the mirror and be a blob again. :worried:
 
i used to be the fat kid in school and no matter how big or cut i get, i think i will always feel like the fat kid in school

You posting a journal somewhere - I'd love to see the results. (I'll go look around - changing your training too?)

I've just had a few really bad months, surgery, mopping around - physical/mental a mess. This is the first good week of training I've had (thank GOD!), I've got the diet planned - not going to start until after the holiday and I'm so ready for it.

i hear ya there! even when i'm looking awesome, in the back of my head i still feel that everyone sees me as what i was in school.
