Anyone been on finasteride forever?

Is anyone on here takeing finasteride indefinately for hair loss? Im curious as to if there are any long term effects of it cause I would like to take it indef. cause Id def keep much more hair that way.

i have used about 6 years, different brands. sure has come down in price with generic brands! will maintain the hair you have, but don't expect the full head of hair from your youth.

Agreed, I've been using it for the past 5 years and have been able to keep the hair I have through the last 4 cycles.

I wasn't aware of this. Dumb question but that means you need to start taking it maybe 2 months before a cycle?

The main thing I notice from it is the slowed down rate of bodyhair growth
(though even that takes a few months to notice at first...)

lol my body hair was never out of control till I hit 800mg of test once then it was all over.Now I got to keep an electric shaver in the bathroom next to my toothbrush lol.

been on for 7-8 years. The only side effect i noticed is a bit of gyno. DHT is the bodys natural anti-estrogen so naturally your gonna have slightly more estrogen to target the receptor sites.

This is the way an endocrinologist explained it to me.

He means that finasteride is GOOD for preventing prostate enlargement...
Which is good since I think ATLEAST 67% of men WILL have some sort of prostate problems in their lives
