Anyone have any good file/folder protectors?

People are always on my computer so I don't want anyone messing with my documents, essays and whatever else it might be. I tried folder guard but it sucked because if you did a search for a file you could always enter the folder.

It just ends up like that one the weekends when I turn on music and some friends come over. My girlfriend goes through my history and everything else all the time which kinda bugs me.
