Anybody work @ the post office or knows somebody that does?

buck, i have a friend that was a mail carrier. He loved it. Pay is good, but not great. You never have to worry about being laid off. Good benefits. good luck with whatever choice you make.

I use to be mail carrier before and it's was a good job. It's a perfect job for a bodybuilder because once your out of the office you'll pretty much on your own the whole day until the end of your route. The only thing is delivering to trashy places, sorting the mail is a pain in the ass, and be prepaired to do a lot of walking yo. Like Nike said "JUST DO IT!"

There will also be a lot of overtime to if needed. I know out here in LA in Cali theres plenty of hours to go around.

fuck that become a cop. a state trooper, park ranger, or anything. at least you carry a gun and it makes the females wet even more.

My uncle used to be a rural carrier and it was the shit, he used his own truck and everything. Back in the say rural carriers had power. They were political appointees and to the farmers they represented the main contact with civilization and often looked to the carriers for advice. So it was assumed that in an election year the carrier would hype the party of the guy that appointed him to the dumb hick farmers.

Good job if you can get it, don't get pigeonholed as something else.

I was looking into being a mechanic for the post office. The guys who service the sorting equipment get a lot more than the guys who work on the trucks though. Another possibility of you learned how to work on shit in the army.

At your age--even with a family--your options are limitless--even if you sometimes don't think so...

Both my wifes parents work for the post office and both are fucking drunks and hate the world...

Any job in the post office is a thankless job which you will never feel like you have accomplished anything(the mail never stops)and once you get sucked in, 10 years could fly by and then you are not a young buck anymore...

a few years ago I worked in a priority mail facility that the post office sub-contracted out(new hampshire)---i was there 6 months and I felt like I lost 3 years of my life--going to work every day was a total tug-o-war between the workers and supervisers---You won't believe the people they have in charge in some of these places...I can see how people lose their mind working in places like these...

oh ya and come x-mas time for approx--2 1/2 months---you won't see the inside of a gym---just my opinion..peace
