deepzen: you said those physical therapy machines are different, can you eleborate more on this? because you are right, after the knee surgury that machine put definitions on my thighs that i have not been able reproduce with home units. Do they use more power or what? I guess if i run across any forclosure equipment or going out of busines or upgrading there units i better pick up one of them, LOL.

I really don't know the specifics on how they're different, but I'm pretty sure the physical therapy machines use more power than a shitty infomercial home unit. There's more of a difference than just power though, but I really don't know much more about it.

I didn't read the any replies to your post, except I have to say that they are crap...any of those machines are good for nothing. Don't waste your money and screw all the "test studies show that 92% bla bla bla shit!!!"...overpriced scrap yard junk. "People" in general are so quick to believe anything that is a case study where they say a large percentage of people had this much reslut from using their product...

It wont build muscle, but I use it on abs every night after working out. a half hour on level 5 and the next day, you abs are so tight and soar.

It really works well for isolating them, better than any ab workout I have tried.

I bought a 150$ electrostimulatoir several year ago but did not really use it .
I think it could be effective for toning the muscle, not for building it. The power output is not that weak (for small muscles) and contractions can be painful.
It gives a good endormorphin rush too.

I bought one in high school many many years ago, I wrestled and had such bad shin splints I could barrely walk, so i bought one to to stimulate the anterior tibialis muscle (the muscle that becomes inflammed in shinsplints) and i have to say that after using it for month or two it did help alot. i still have it but havent touched it since. its gotta be 10 years old wonder if it still works.
