Anybody here like Camping, Rafting & Fishing Trips?

Myself I am a camper, fisherman, and I like to hunt some.
I guess my favorite fishing/camping spot is in Bull Shoals, AR in North Central Arkansas @ the White River. White River is loaded with BIG TROPHY Rainbow & Brown Trout, and sucker fish. I dont fish for the Suckers. There are hundreds of Cabins and Lodges right on the river and it is very relaxing. Scenery is second to none.

I also have made dozens of trips rafting the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, TX. There was a time, this was the place to be if you like camping and rafting in Texas.

I live in Texas, so my favorite place to land BIG FISH consistently is Lake Fork. Again there are tons of cabins and remote locations to camp and hang out.

Now that I am a little older (30), I like camping in Rv, pop up campers, and cabins a little more than tent and sleeping bags. I am a Sportsman, so I like the country and sleeping in a tent and bag is not a big deal either.

Anybody else around here get out much, as far as camping or Sportsman Trips? Favorite spots or activities?

Man, I can't believe you mentioned the guadalupe and Bull Shoals. The only place I would consider camping is on the guadalupe. I love that place no mosquitos beautiful scenery and river to really cool off in.

I have only been to bull shoals once with my then girlfriend and her family. We massively had a good time scuba diving, trail hiking and fishing. That place has got a special place in my heart because we massively fell in love there and talked about marriage.

Yes sir!!

These are great activities. They are great when you can generate the free time.

I used to fish for rainbow trout at Lake Taneycomo in southern Missouri.

Yep! We've got a place at Texoma, so I'm a big fisherman.
Love those stripers!

I used to hunt alot (deer, turkey, duck) but not much anymore. I still like dove hunting though.....

Hell, just getting out in the woods or on the lake is therapy for me.

Bull Shoals has breath taking scenery. Mountain Home, Flippin, AR that whole area are beautiful. Now did you scuba in the River or were you in the Bull Shoals Lake? The river stays 50 degress year around...to support the trout habitat. The dam @ Bull Shoals let's the water out of the bottom of the lake which feeds the White River...that is why the water in the river is cold year around.

IT was in the lake. Matter of fact, me and the ole lady made lots of bubbles together if you know what I mean.

I love the outdoors...However, I like a nice warm bed and bath waiting for me after my nature hikes!

I'll be "roughing" it in January when I take my lil girl and her Brownie Troop down to Southern Ohio for a camping trip! Dear God, I hope they have juice for my hair dryer.....hehehe
