Anybody ever catch a bad pin ?

I was trying to inject into glutes last night. 23 guage 1 1/2 inch. I have hit them probably 15 times each side my whole life. I had a syringe preloaded and it was loaded with a 18guage pin and then I twisted the 23 back on. It was brand new. Anyway, I was trying to hit right glute and pushed and nothing, it was like trying to push a pencil in. I couldnt get any penetration. I tried the other side and same thing. I tried the original side again and kinda forced the issue and got a bit in, maybe a quarter inch and it wasnt right. I hit the rubbing alcohol on both sides, looked at the pin real close and was perplexed. I havent hit again yet today but was curious if I may have just caught a dull pin somehow, even though it was new ? Anyone else ever have any issues like this ? I was thinking too much scar tissue but I have only hit glutes about 15 times each side in my life and the last time I hit glutes and everytime before the 23 slid in like butter. Help ?

It was probally dull. You can just hit the tip on the edge of the cap when you take it off and dull it. It dose'nt take much at all..

could be the Pin if you knicked the end of it.

OR could be scar tissue.

hate bad shots , happens to all lol

it's happened to me a few times, i only use individually sealed BD pins so most likely it's my own fault

try not to recap after you load

It was probally dull. You can just hit the tip on the edge of the cap when you take it off and dull it. It dose'nt take much at all..

Thought I was real careful. I loaded about 8 syringes with the 18 gauge and just twisted the 23s off and set them to the side without ever decapping them. I just twisted them back on the syringe after loading and put them away. I cant remember knicking it or dulling it by hitting cap last night but I am human so I am sure it could have happened.. Sucks for sure. I will def be more careful since it felt like I was trying to get a bic pen in the side of my ass.....

Ya it happened to me doing a delt shot I couldnt get it much more then half way in. I loaded with with a 18g and i didnt take the cap off until i was ready to shoot.
