anybody do power cleans? When?

I use clean/snatch/jerks very light, very explosive, with high reps on cardio vascular days. This is a much better form of cardiovascular that doesn't cause catabolism of existing muscle tissue. I have never done any running or cycling. This includes all cardio throughout my cutting cycle.

I use them for strength, explosion, and trap/back development. Generally they fall on back day if I train them heavy or they can be done after legs or with shoulders. Results are fantastic. No exercise builds traps like these lifts.

Get someone very knowledgable to train you in this lift. All the muscle mags show dumbass bodybuilders doing them improperly - in a demonstration no less!!

There may be some technique websites - if no one posts one search yahoo under weightlifting or a variation including olympic.
 
i do em!

i use for my explosion on the feild. they are part of our routine, hip pulls tues 6.x.3 tens second rests between sets. friday we power clean 5.x.4 15 second rest they do the job for me,
