I need help picking out games. Got my 10 year old one for Xmas and was wondering what the better games are. Also, how do you know what accessories to buy, it doesn't seem to have that on the games. He has a Nintendo DS, I understand that some are run off of it.
Any help is greatly appreciated...

bump for some players guys! Yall youngsters need to help me here, I know someone has a Wii or has played one. Maybe you have a good friend you could call and ask what games he thought were cool and the accessory to buy....

The Wii is awesome....i love it, but i have yet to buy it.

some good games?

well, the wii sports that comes with it is great.

The zelda game is really good, but might be a little too dark for him(unlike the zelda games previously). Might want to make that choice at your discretion

get him the new mario!! Mario Galaxy

There are a bunch of other games, but i wouldn't buy them for a 10 year old (too graphic/violent or he may not appreciate them, i.e. sports game).

if i were you, i'd get the tiger woods game for yourself LOL. that is sooooooo badass.

The bigs (baseball) is incredible. you really feel like you're playing baseball without all the headache. Pitching control is amazing, and so is the batting

OH F'in A! He loves golf, he's getting a new set of Calaway's for Xmas. And, and he plays baseball like a MF'er, regular spring ball and select fall ball, cool CW!! Can you tell me what the controllers are for both those games?
He loves hockey, plays a mean left wing w/ left shot, maybe they have one of those...

Thanks a million CW, I appreciate it!!
K 2U my friend

the system itself comes with 1 wii remote and 1 nun chuck. basically you need both those controllers to get the full experience of the system.

i'd get another pair (1 wii remote and another nun chuck) on top of a few games.

he'll love it

i got a wii all i play is wii sports even though i have like 30 other games.. i dont think i've even opened some of them..

Wii spports? that's not one game called Wii sports, what your telling me is that you play all the Wii sports games, i.e. baseball, golf, etc... right?

CW, I need to get another controler, OK. KEWL!!!

I can't wait to get to play it, good thing he wrote it down on his Xmas list....

you got it

I'm stoked! I can't wait till we...I mean, he opens it! kewl...

yall know it took 4 people to get the dang thing, it's sold out everywhere. I had 2 WalMart store workers watching the UPS truck to see if any came in, one day shift and one night, and a friend of mine was intouch w/ them because he doesn't work during the day and could haul ass over to get one as it was unloaded. Four Wii's came in and I got the last one of that shipment. It was 250.00 plus tax. You can get them online but the prices vary from 350- 600, whatever the market will bear.

relax in your chair, turn the controller backwards so that the trigger is facing you, point the sensor towards the ceiling, hold down the trigger, and flick the controller towards the t.v., releasing the trigger towards the end of the motion. now you can piss everyone off that you play with

I even thought of buying a Wii for that game. It got the best reviews of any game this year.

LOL, actually it's for my 10 year old son, but I can see us both playing. He's very sports oriented, he'll be fine with the preloaded stuff until we play those for awhile. I think I need another controller for some of the games, Right?

Yeah anyone who wants to play against someone else needs their own wiimote and nunchuk. I think a wiimote and nunchuk are around $50 total.
