Will be moving there in June and just wondering what the scene is like out there and where a good place to train is. I know of the Port Jeff and Smithtown Golds as well as the Powerhouse. Any suggestions?

hmmm how can i explain the scene here at stony...... don't expect too much.
i go to the powerhouse up by 347, place isn't bad plus the price makes it even better.

Well, I'm a little of west of Stony Brook (about 10 miles) in Huntington. A few Powerhouse, Gold's, tons of Ballys, a couple of Eastern Athletics, etc. Plenty of gyms, but none that I have yet to consider the best work-out local. But, still, not too bad.
