Yeah shock or tone collars for training is (in my humble opinion) a must have for bird dogs. Wimieriners are VERY head strong from what I have seen and heard and electric current is your friend. lol

Have you taken him out to see if he naturally tracks, points, flushes, whatever he may decide to do?

Bro I know this. It was cold as hell this week.

We need to hit Kiowa creek soon for some bird killing. Unless you know some peeps out east.

Ryker, I am starting from scratch now, Weimers don't point. But he has a natural track and flush. I need to end the chase though, after the flush and control the barking.

Then my buddy did have an odd wimer. His actually did point, then after the flush, he would follow the setting sun. LOL What a unstable dog. That dog was like my jack russell only more hyper.

I'll probably be gone until sometime in March or so, have four more wells here then off to the UK for a while.

I have some buddies who have land out around Burlington and over into Kansas they've been dove hunting a bunch recently. Kiowa sounds good though, I need to get an over-under though my Ithica 16 is nice and all but I want something a little better.

Weimers are great dogs, Stubborn as hell though and like the sound of their own voice. Mine doesn't point. He rushes. Rabbits, birds, cats, squirrels and other dogs. I have a handful

They look exactly like my weimer, just a different color.
