Hi girls. I'm new to the board. I've been bbing for about 3 years now. However I'm all natural. From what I've seen the Elite Fitness girls have phenomenal bodies but is anyone natural? By natural I mean never taken cutting drugs, AAS etc. I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle. I'm just realizing what a farce the fitness world is when it comes to people who claim they are all natural. For years I've been striving for the body of someone who's on, but was being blinded by people claiming they're natural. I'm just now getting that they are totally full of crap and the body I may be after may never be naturally attainable. I've done everything right and made all the changes as far as seeing what works for me. Just giving a little background here. Anyway....

I don't normally post here. If anyone is interested in who I am you can checkout extreme-athlete.com, my home. I have pics posted there. Thanks!

natty here :)

only use OTC suppliments (glutamine, ephedrine)...eat right, train right & you can def get the body you are after "naturally"...ya know-- even taking AAS doesnt guarantee youll get the perfect body--

It's hard to define natty-everyone has different ideas. I have never taken anything banned by the IOC EXCEPT ephedrine. However there are plenty of other OTC things that I have tried just like MsBeverlyHills.

Also agree that the harder or more illegal drugs do not a good body guarantee. Bodybuilding will always be 90-95% good diet, proper training, rest and genetics. The drugs are not needed unless you want to compete at a very high level. Even then, you'll find folks around here like JJFitness who competes at the international amateur level without using illegal drugs.

True, true everyone has their own definition of natural, which unfortunately has confused the hell out of me. By natural I mean anything banned by the natural divisions and of course anything illegal. And yes you girls are so very right about the fact that even AAS does not a good body make. As far as diet and workout I've got everything under control in that realm. I would attach a pic but I'm too cheap for platinum. I myself don't take ephedra products as they had some bad side effects for me. I've been taking Lean System 7. I have tried some other products but found them to be quite useless i.e. creatine which was all water weight and brutal on my stomach. I tried Betagen as well which seemed good at first until that made me want to puke as well. Basically as far as supplements go I have my rtd's and my Optimum Whey. I don't consider protein as a supplement really. Then I have all the regular run of the mill stuff like multis, fish oils etc. I just wanted to know I wasn't alone in the battle to be natural! :D

Natty - except ephedrine.

However, you'll learn a lot from all these women; natural or not. I wouldn't factor that in if you're looking to learn ways to train better or diet better. I find the women here who do use AAS on occasion train hard, diet hard, and have a wealth of experience to learn from. It may frustrate you if you're competing against women who've used AAS yet compete in natural competitions (I think that kind of annoys everyone), but the bottom line is we're really competing against ourselves. If you come into each comp in better condition, then that's all that really matters.

Welcome to the boards!

Thanks ladies and is that the both of you in your avatars?? If so MY GAWD u look phenomenal! Yes, admitedly that has a been a problem for me with the comps. Lots of people competing around here and getting clean just in time to test clean in all natty comps. Annoying isn't even the word. Yes I'm definitely in competition with myself. I considered trying to really get into competing but I run a business and there just isn't a lot going on around here. I'm in RI. I would have to travel and I work 7 days a week so it's not possible. It's just hard to find your niche so to speak. I've tried very heavy weight at lower reps, and still heavy weight at higher reps. The whole scale anyway. Drop sets etc. I've tried em all. I definitely haven't fallen into the I'm scared I'll get to big state of mind. I lift as heavy as possible. I think for a long time I overtrained, but I believe I'm on the right path now and I have to accept my limitations. By this I mean I may never have the body I want but I will try like hell no matter what! Thanks for the welcome :D

I'd consider myself natty since the one cycle I did, I got hurt and had to stop training 2 weeks into the cycle. At most, it helped me to keep what muscle I had developed on my own while I recovered.
