Any military bros out there?

I am not in the military myself but I recall a lot of you guys being in at one time or another. First off I know this isnt the correct board for this but I figure I will get some responses anyway. I have been thinking about inlisting for several reasons. One, I have always had this desire to do so since I was a young buck, two, I feel Im going no where in life because I hate college(this is my third year going and I will need two more to hava 4 year degree), three, I cant get along with my parents and bad shit keeps happening. Im a little scared though. Go ahead and call me pussy, its cool. I may be scared of the fact of leaving my home, family, etc. I may be scared of the whole bootcamp thing and am I tough enough, hell it may be a combo of a lot of things. I really feel this would help me in a lot of ways but Im still nervous about it. What are your opinions?

If you wanted to do it when you were young then DO IT. Cause you don't want to be an old fart sitting around wishing you had joined and served your country.

Just do a search on your branch of service. Alot of post on each branch.

If you're serious, join the Marine Corps. I was in your shoes (a long time ago), and enlisted in the Corps. They really straightened me out, and changed me for the better. Granted, I'm biased, but I believe the Marines are the best there are. Yes, their boot camp is longer and harder than any other service, but when you're done, you'll know you succeeded at the toughest challenge, and didn't settle for mediocrity. I know plenty of folks in other branches of service who regret not joining the Corps.

Fuckin air force shouldn't even be in the same catagory as the other military branches..

I've seen the flyboys throwing horse shoes for PT.... LOL They even streched out before they started. Even the saliors were laughing at them.

I served in HM Forces and my advice would be to join a corps as a technican or something cos you'll still have to do basic training which like everybody said will change you for the better but if and when you do decide to leave you will have had the best training money can buy and civilian employers will be falling over themselves to give you a job!

I had two friends that joined the Marines and they hated it. They said that they got fucked with a lot. Don't join unless it's something you really want to do.

Semper fi al;l the way... There no doubt if your going in for the purpose of finding out what you are made of then become a MARINE!!! 10 Years in now.. Reservist now was active for 4 years. Best experience in the world.. Remember the Marines are always the first to go in the shit... There's a reason for that!
