I lived in Slidell for 10 years. Cross Gates is the best gym in slidell. They have 2 locations 1 at the end of Gause Blvd. (the big one) and 1 on Ponchatrain Dr. (the small one). Pretty good facilities and usually not too crowded. I'll be honest if you're just moving there it becomes pretty boring, but New Orleans is just a few minutes away. Have fun.
