I would be interested in seeing % of deaths from anabolic steroids.

obviously there are a lot more people that smoke and drink so that's why it would have to be broken down into a % of people who smoke died from it. etc.

cigarettes and alcohol is legal and steroids are not. I think it would be great to see the actual percentages of people that have died from cigarette usage compared to anabolic steroid usage.

It would be a fucking joke! Yet cigarettes are legal becasue they are so heavily taxed. Point being it all comes down to the the almighty $$$ and not caring about peoples health and well being.

i agree 100%! i guarentee more people die from smoking and drinking in one day then from steroids in 30 years!!! think about that for a second.

If someone ODs on a drug than we can chalk it up as a death related to compound XYZ. Steroid will not kill you instantly...it takes a little bit longer...than BAM! Heart attack, prostate cancer, liver failure....

Not statistics....

What you want is mortality data.

Problem is, you can't tell what killed a person in many cases.

Steroids (if they've killed anyone) affect organs and can incite existing problems in the body even if taken responsibly. However, many other things perfectly legal in our everyday lives can cause the same exact things.

So, did Joe die of liver failure because he used gear for 10 years or because he was exposed to XYZ product that is hard on the liver? We never know for sure.

Just like the recent matter with a guy on this board who OD and a magazine made a big to-do about it. Fact was the guy ABUSED many recreational drugs and took steroids. Someone even checked up on the hospital records and realized he likely died from the ER meds. He was on stuff that if the hospital staff didn't know he was using and administered the standard treatments, they would poison him rather than cure him.

In spite of all the data available on the issue, this board and his steroid use was blamed for his death. Never mind the ample evidence showing he had a reckless attitude and a serious drug problem outside of steroid use.

well not that. The reason steriods have such a bad name is because some people cant keep there cool while there on cops think its "Roid Rage" (bull shit)

to my knowledge there have only been very few deaths (if any) directly related to steroid use. the thing is that steroids rarely cause the problems themselves, but have accelerating effects on people who are already predisposed to certain diseases/problems. in order to get a clean and clear relation to steroids youd probably have to inject a bottle of test directly into your heart.

The people who do long term damage to their bodies on steroids are the ones who don't take the time to properly research what they take. Most long term side effects can be avoided if the steroids are used correctly. The average guy at the gym probly doesn't know shit about what they are taking.

Every other hospital bed in this country has a person in it because of smoking, the majority of that number waiting to die. Anabolic steroids are not a medical issue, but a political issue. You have unhealthy fat asses ditatateing policies to those of us who wish to be a little better than the average joe. The entire steroid health scare hype is a joke.

Steroid cycling is not that unhealthy, ie 12 weeks on, 12 weeks off...with moderate doses.

Some BBers no longer cycle...they stay on year-round for years, using 2-3g of AS for 12 weeks, than bringing it down to 500-1000mg for a few weeks..and back on mega doses.
