Anyway, the point of these numerous posts is that there is clearly an OVERWHELMING support in favour of Israel. This in turn induces the Palestinians to think that the U.S. along with Israel pose a direct threat to their existense. If we compare the number of Palestinians killed to the number of Israelis, suicide bombings or not, the ratio is MUCH more favourable to the Israelis.
I think Americans are just beginning to realize this. At least I am. Very soon you will see a shift in public sentiment, with the exception of the Jewish population in this country. The number of Jews in this country is more than that of Israel........but don't quote me on that. Anyway, we have either the largest or second largest Jewish population in the world.

Let's put it simply, the Palestinians are pigs (that is the hamas, plo, and other's) it does appear that the normal, everyday Palestinian is no different than the average Jewish citizen. I find the mentality of suicide bombing or kamikazee or whatever quite disturbing. And for a people to so completely embrace that idea is a terrifying event.

I don't think the public opinion of support for Israel will change. We will always support Israel.

FF - There are 13M Jews in the world; 5.8M in the US and 4.8M in Israel. There are over a 1 Billion Muslims in the world.

13M : 1B - Pretty overwhelming odds I would say.

The Israelis kicked the living crap out the Arabs on a 3-sided attack, outnumbered 7:1, using old Phantom fighters while the Arabs had the more modern MiGs. I think the statistics only go to show the spirit of the people and their resolve not to give up their homeland or way of life. The rest of the Arab world is jealous.

With the exception of the B-17 and old P-51 Mustangs, US aviation platforms weren't even introduced to Israel until the mid-60s

They currently use a mix of Apache and Blackhawk (US) and Eurocopter (Joint European) helicopters.

Their UAVs and satellites are 100% Israeli designed and developed.

Their main battle tank, the Merkava Mark 4, is Israeli manufactured with US, Israeli, and several other country's components.

Their submarines are German built.

Almost all of their surface fleet is built in Israel.

Sorry, but you forgot a VERY important fact.

All the parts of the -15's/16's and electronics package
upgrades i.e. LPI radar and the like + phoenixs,
sidewinder missiles etc... COME FROM THE US!!!!

What about photographic intelligence from the KH-11's and
12's?

(The Uranium and Plutonium), necessary to build
its first generation of nuclear fission bombs?

The Israeli "research" nuclear plant at Dimona is a mirror
image of american ones.

Without the US's help in the 70's, Israel would be a smoking ruin

Gee it took them a whole 6-10 years to ask for our planes. Israel has only been around since '54.

1) We give Israel the F-15/F-16 platforms and they make their own modifications, which in turn, they provide back to the US for reincorporation into the platform.

2) In addition to the Sidewinders, Israel uses a myriad of other armaments, made internally and in other countries.

3) Israel has little to no access or reliance on our Keyhole platform since the launch of their Ofeq-series birds.

4) Dimona was built with French plans, not US, as well as input from Sweden and South Africa.

Somewhere in there, I missed your point. Who cares if the US has helped Israel as much as they have. Israel is grateful. Maybe instead, we could have helped Iraq build nuclear capabilities. Check your facts before you leap to conjecture.

It'll never happen.
They will still continue to show contempt for the surrounding nations and vice verse. And thus we will continue to send them money, arms and aid.

This is why we are in the crosshairs of terrorists. Until we let Isreal stand on her own two feet, we will never see the end of terror attempts.
