Anti-Depressants + PH's + Lifting = ????

Since I was a young kid i've had real bad nightmares..I'm now 23 and they're worse than ever(waking up in sweats almost every night), so my doctor is going to prescribe me some fairly strong anti-depressant to see if that helps. I am very skeptical about taking this, due to several factors. I've heard they can really kill test levels, and i'm also learly about taking them while "on" a PH cycle.

Anybody using any type of Anti-E's? What are your experiences? Thanks

I've been taking Celexa for a few years now(for depression). I like it because it keeps me focused and helps me think more clear. As for dreams it has made them more vivid and clear. So if your having nightmares you might have to be careful. For test levels I don't know but my sex drive is fine. I also have done alot of steriod cycles while on Celexa and there has been no problems. One note though, I was first prescribed Paxil but switched to Celexa because Paxil killed my sex drive. What I've learned over the years is that the drugs don't work the same for everyone. You might have to try different ones to get it right. Work with your doctor he knows what he's doing. Hang in there and good luck!

I know nothing about anti-depressants and I don't doubt that you have heard about and tried many 'cures'.
But here is my two cents.

This may sound a little silly, but I have had success stopping nightmares using lucid dreaming. It took me about a month to have my first lucid dream after buying a book on the subject by Stephen Laberge, and I never worked myself up to more than 2 a month (it does take a little time and effort). And while I don't have nightmares too often, I have successfully stopped a few and turned them around. It may sound far fetched, but the book said it can be used for chronic nightmares.
