ANPB in the UK?

Hi all

Can any dudes or dudesses let me know where i can buy ANPB in the UK.

Most of the big supermarkets (ASDA, TESCO etc) only stock sunpat or skippy which is the crappo stuff.

Let me know any online stores, or health food shops that stock the real deal!

I think Safeway carries an all natural brand by the name 'Adams'.

look for Bio Products. In Germany, the only NPB I found was actually marketed as a Bio Product, had to read the label to make sure it had nothing else... careful though, some Bio products will still have sugar in it (from Bio Sugar cane)

Im off to Morrisons (they took over safeway) later on to try and find this ANPB.

Obviously im gonna look in the aisle with the regular PB. What are the ingredients on the ANPB likely to list, (ie is it just peanuts and butter!!) and what are they likely to be on the regular stuff (ie sugar? veg oil etc)

Well I didn't know that about Safeway/Morrisons ... but then I always shop at Tescos.

As to the ingredients for the all natural: PEANUTS
And it should say: No added sugar or salt.

The regular variety will have some or all of the following:

- peanuts
- hydrogenated vegetable oil
- maltodextrin
- sugar
- dextrose
- salt
- molasses

I didnt know if this was the right stuff, so i bought it anyway as it wasnt too expensive.

Its Organic peanut butter and the ingredients are as follows

Roasted Peanuts (97%)
Palm Oil (2%)
Sunflower Oil (1%)
Sea Salt.

After reading the previous post i dont think this is it.

I found a site which should help you out.

They have more peanut butter than you can shake a spoon at.

A true orgainc PB should just be made from Roasted Peanuts and nothing else added. The Palm oil in the product you purchased is added to prevent separation.

how much different is it to ANPB? this was £1.09 for 270g, the all natural stuff will be a lot more im guessing.

The only difference is the added oils which shouldn't be of much concern. It is the extra sugar, salt, and the hydrogenation process of other products where you need to be concerned.

I, personally, don't eat the stuff or any other peanut butter because the fat content is just too high for my diet. Others, though, believe that a high fat diet has a positive effect on muscle growth.

You will have to check Meridian's site for the price on their all natural variety.

Try Safeway of any Healthfood shops, they should carry NPB.
