Another school shooting anyone have details? 27 dead I heard

I dont understand why everyone is so freaked out about cops in schools? my high school had a cop and so did every other high school in the city. what is the big deal? If anything that man being involved and coaching football and taking time to talk to me go me on the right path and not heading towards jail.

I thought the same way at first until someone explained it like this to me-

First cops/vets in schools. Shootings stop there and move on to public parks and playgrounds. Armed guards move there as well. Eventually there are armed guards on every corner. Finally guns are banned all together, and the shootings subside, and we are left with armed men watching our every move and we have no way to protect ourselves from corrupt government, criminals, and any other wrong doer that still has guns. I think it's a slippery slope.

Can I China?

The party of "small government" wants to pay millions of dollars to thousands of armed government employees to watch over your children. Oh the irony!

No one in government wants government to be smaller. Everyone wants it bigger, the only differences are how it gets bigger.

I think cops in the schools would be great. It would also teach kids to trust and respect police. Instead of all this "fuck the police" garbage.

Also keep the little asshole bully kids in check.
Yeah, it's a fantastic idea..........as long as you're willing to ignore the fact that THEY HAD ONE AT COLUMBINE!

Relax, you'll live longer

Well the obvious answer is to voucher education and privatize the whole system. Then security would be one of the factors each parent could weigh in making their school choice.

But we'll need to crank-out another 25+ years worth of kids that can't read their own diplomas first before something like that would ever happen.

The great irony is how the party that professes to protect the poor condemns millions of children per year to lives of generational poverty because they are bought-and-paid-for by the teachers' unions. Now *that* is irony.

We should home school everyone over the Internet. Then no one has to leave their barricaded house.
