Another question on muscle waisting

Hey everyone!! I was curious about something, maybe you guys can give me some feedback. I havent trained chest or back in 3 weeks now.(due to my back injury). My diet has been enough to maintain bodyweight. My measurements are exactly the same. My big question is, will my body get rid of muscle if its not being used? Since I havent trained chest or back in a few weeks Im wondering what my strength will be like when I get back to the gym , so the other question is will strength be lost? Anyone have any experience with this? In 9 years Ive never taken more then a week off at a time. ThanX! Any feedback is greatly appreciated as always! May be a while before I can get back into heavy training, or even back and chest training at all.

muscle ,on average, can take up to seven weeks to begin to atrophy...if your protein consumption is that high i wouldn't worry just yet

get healed...get stronger sooner bro

ThanX my brother!!!! We may not agree, but your a good dude. Fuckles man, that just touched my heart.....

Don't be surprised if you are a bit weaker when you return. I think that within a couple weeks you will be back to your old self though.. maybe the rest will do your body more harm than good, we can all use a layoff every now and again.

Seven weeks is a tad extreme....I was in a leg cast for 4 weeks and my calf shiveled up and disappeared........

ThanX guys! The advice is very helpful! Hopeully I wont be totally fucked when I finally return! Luckily my size has still been the same, but not sure if that means much. ThanX again!

you should be OK. . .after all you are training other muscles and I am sure your chest is receiving some stress. make sure your protein intake remains high.
