Another Outstanding Report Card!

The proud Poppa must gloat again. Today was report card day and she brought home 10 A's and 1 B+.

Those A's are crap too. Why not an A+? Argh!!!

I remember report card days. I'd get the same thing about "why did you get a B?" In hindsight I see that it was a good thing - not because I realized "oh, I should always get A's," but because I learned how to give good explanations.

Dad: "Why'd you get a 'C?'"

Me: "Because the teacher spends the day screwing around and then gives tests on the material she was supposed to teach us, then grades people based on whether she likes them or not. I guess she doesn't like me. Don't worry, though, this is an elective course and doesn't mean anything."

Dad: "Ok... glad you got an A in math."

=)

Now Mr. Satan, go take your kid out for ice cream or something. Anyone who says kids don't deserve rewards for good grades probably didn't get good grades when he was younger. =)

I think the teacher doesn't want to give anyone straight A's because the B+ has floated around in the last 3 report cards.
