Another DNP post...

After reading many DNP posts it seems as though most people who did high carbs, low fat (more side affects though) had better weight loss then people who went the low carb route. I'd like to find out which way will put my weight loss to max.

I'm currently low carbing and on my 5th day of DNP.
Day 1-3 200mg
Day 4-10 400mg

I havent lost or gained any weight yet and my side affects are bearable. Im eating the same ammount of cals as I was before I started so I'm starting to wonder. I realize you gain water weight on DNP but I beleive others still lost visable weight with the water retention. Or am I completely wrong and do you lose ALL your weight when you stop the cycle?

Anyways can you people please post what diet/cycle you were on and how much weight you lost while using dnp, will help me tons, thanks in advance.

yeah your not going to see much of a difference while your on. You might even question if it's working or not. Wait a week after your last dose - the results are unreal.

i recently did my first cycle.
200mg/day days 1-3
400mg/day days 4-7

lost a good 8 lbs after all the water shed. Only thing was it made my body weak and I got sick. Once I refill on vitamins/supplements i'm gonna do another :)

Did the exact same cycle you are doing now, with pretty much a regular diet. Trax is right, you see 95% of the results after you stop the cycle and start dropping the water. Dont be foolish and increase the dose because you dont think its working.

I had a feeling someone would say that. I'm being very careful and I don't plan on killing myself :)

That's what everyone says, in which case I'm very excited. I did 200 mg /day for 5 days, then I have bumped it up to 600 mg /day for the past 3 days. I'll take my last dose tonight. In 8 days I'm already down 7.5 lbs (I've been drinking about 2 gallons a day too). I've been going low carb, probably 100 g /day. I'm also considerably leaner, the veins in my abs and the front of my calves are showing very good, but were barely visible a week ago. We'll see how much leaner I get over the next 4 days as the DNP leaves my system and I do a 48 hour carb up. Very happy with the results so far.

Oh yeah, the difference in how you feel at 200 vs 600 mg is like night and day. Very hot, and lots of sweating. Cardio hasn't suffered, but I'm only doing 20-30 minutes a day (moderate intensity).

I plan on doing my first cycle......200mg for seven days. You guys think i should up it 400 for the last three or four days?

There's no way you can answer that without first seeing how you handle 200. If you're not allergic, or profusely sweating and losing sleep, then it can help.

Okay, here ya go...

I ate whatever the hell I wanted to. (Diet plan? what diet plan??)

No cardio; weights only.

Dropped about 20 pounds in a month.

Hmm, that's odd. I read the opposite. As long as calories are below your normal maintenance level and you get your protein requirements in, then everything else is pretty much for comfort level. Do you like feeling really hot and sweaty? Then go high carbs. Do you want to reduce the discomfort as much as possible? Go lower carbs.

Then again, you have to factor in blood sugar levels too. I prefer low carbs or med. level of carbs.

"I'm currently low carbing and on my 5th day of DNP.

You should lose 3-4 lbs of fat alone without diet and exercise (but assuming you are eating at maint. level). Cardio and diet will add to that number.

"I havent lost or gained any weight yet and my side affects are bearable."

Don't worry about weight. I can't believe it that people still don't use a simple caliper to measure body fat loss. Not to say that is needed (DNP is so strong and consistent enough where you can somewhat calculate fat loss in a time frame), it's to prevent people from complaining of not seeing results.

" Im eating the same ammount of cals as I was before I started so I'm starting to wonder. I realize you gain water weight on DNP but I beleive others still lost visable weight with the water retention. Or am I completely wrong and do you lose ALL your weight when you stop the cycle?"

Why are you taking DNP for? To lose fat? Are you dieting at all? How much calories was before?

Yes I'm dieiting, been low carbing for 4 weeks now at 1700 cals, my maint is 2000.

So far i`m taking DNP at low dosage (around 150mg) with an eca stack so far i`m on the beggining of week3 and lost 7kgr
from 103kgr dropped to 96kgr
I do cardio for 30min every day at 80% of max card. rate and my diet is 1500cals 70%prot 20%carbs 10&fats

You're maintnace is not 2000 cals a day. An inactive 110 pound female's maintnace calories is around 2000 a day. Your calories are definately low enough...probably too low.

Exactly what Beezers said. 2000 calories is not your maintanence level..unless you

a) have crashed your metabolism so severely from years worth of starvation dieting
b) you weigh around 150 lbs

Eat 10X your bodyweight.Once you finish your cycle, get on some bromocroptine to prevent metabolism from crashing. Well, in theory. GO read Lyle's book for the info.

Be patient to when taking DNP. If you are hovering around 15% which I assume most people on this board are, then it may take more than a few cycles to really see the results or get to your goal.

That's awesome! Has anybody else done this? I thought it might be fun to try this in the winter time and just eat whatever the hell I want (pizza, cake, etc.) - cbeaks

Smoking Hawk, how much did you take and what were the sides like? I have never used it before and don't want to take it in the summer because I already get hot easily and I have a professional job. - cbeaks

im at about 15% and will be doing a 21 day cycle at 200mg. Dont really want to go up higher but hey if my body handles it, the last week of my cycle i will bump it to 400mg. All i really want from it is to get down to about 9%. I will be eating clean and doing very light cardio, 20-30 mins and hopefully i get what i want out of it.

I have a professional job, too--all-day public speaking, no less.

I started by high-dosing on weekends, beginning Friday, with a full GRAM in a day, then dropped to 750 a day, then 500 a day to maintain (with occasional bumps back up to 750 on slow work days when I had more time to site in my office).

Actually, the daytime sides weren't that bad. It was nighttime that killed me.

During the day I'd just keep my water and antioxidant coctails high, and use those Old Spice disposable cool cloths to keep fresh and clean.

Even though I ate whatever I wanted, higher-sugar foods would cause a rise in temperature an hour later, lasting about 2 hours.
