OK, so I've definitely been seeing the positive effects of B12...energy and appetite. Well, I was thinking about using it on my dog (German Shepherd). He is about 2 yrs old, and his appetite is lagging. I've talked numerous times to the VET about possible problems, but she says that "some dogs live to eat, and others eat to live". She also said not to worry unless I see a drop in his activity level...which I haven't. However, he is not the size he should be, and I often get comments:
Do you feed this dog?
Is he anorexic?
Basically what I am wondering is if there is any reason not to inject B12 into my dog? I will be adjusting the dosage to his bobdy weight. He's about 75lbs and so I was thinking, 0.5ml 2-3 times a week (~1000mcg - 1500mcg per week).
Also, are there any recommended places to shoot and needle size to minimize any kind of pain?
Karma for those that help...thanx
