Anavar toxic to kidneys?

Does anavar affect the kidneys? i'm asking b/c pretty soon I may be having surgery to donate a kidney and i dont want to take any chances on messing up the one good one i will have left. i thought i would have to give up as, but i thought maybe anavar could be mild enough?

suggestions anyone?

never seen any evidence of that king. However, it may have SOME potential to hurt your kidneys, but I really don't think so. Normally I would tell someone not to even worry about it, but considering your situation please be careful. If doing some AAS is really worth it to you( and I'm certainly not endorsing it ), you could try it w/ VERY FREQUENT test to see if it is effecting your kidney(s) This may even become expensive and a drag, but if you really want to use somthing, and it's worth it to you, take very precaution and get checked often - check w/ Huck, he seems to have tons of info/ studies on var. He may have somthing for you. Please take care of yourself and good luck

Anavar is no different than any other 17 AAS in relation to the damage it does on the LIVER.

The medical community talks out of both sides of their mouth by saying that oral steroids damage the liver and then when studies are done on muscle wasting patient - the doctors say that "anavar" was very tolerable and caused no problems.

As far as the kidney's go - should be fine - but I would definately wait until a while after the surgery and make sure everything is fine.

Approx. 1/3 of oxandrolone is excreted via kidneys...therefore there is reason to believe the kidneys are under adittional stress during Var cycle. Tough call...

Merely excreting the drug via the kidneys does not mean that the kidneys are stressed.
My biggest concern would be this: if your liver enzymes are elevated on your pre-op labs (from using oxandrolone), they're probably NOT going to use you as a donor.

I haven't used anavar yet. actually I havent done any as in over a year. my 2 day donor workup is thursday. wish me luck
