Anavar purpose question

I am new here, hoping to have a great time here. So far I enjoy my stay, seems like there is a lot of knowledge here.

Anyhow, I have a question about Annies. I`ve read on several steroid profile pages that Anavar originally was supposed to "be prescribed to women and children for the purpose of gaining weight following trauma, surgery, severe infection or illness."

Is this really true? And what happens to the kid after it takes Anavar, won`t the skeleton stop growing, and isn`t there other problems related to young ones taking steroids?

The recommended dosages for such purposes was 2-4 mgs a day.
