How viagra works
Viagra is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. Your bodies autonomic system is split into two divisions: sympathetic and parasympathetic. Viagra affects the parasympathetic division (that which controls erections, heart rate decreassion, pupillary constriction, and a bunch of other things). It basically effects the deactivation of cGMP by phosphodiesterase in smooth muscle cells. SO, this leaves the smooth blood cell innervated for a longer period of time. Smooth muscle cells are what control dialation and constriction of blood vessels. So this therefore causes a more easily obtained reaction.
I hope this makes sense. It should be correct.
