An honest discussion, just how bad is marijuana on the brain?

I think this thread is more aimed at the true, bong-a-day stoners.

But I think everyone can agree mild use isn't any more harmful than driving in traffic.

Your honor, I rest my case.

Code, what did you mean by that? I'd just like to add that while inhaling the smoke is def. not healthy, the other effects are acceptable in my case. Everybody is different as previously stated. Some people become very "unmotivated" when high and that is not good. It's like that with most vices though, people tolerate things differently. Shit, as far as the memory thing goes, my grandmother is 72 never did a drug in her life not even drinking and she cant' remember her own name let alone mine!:)

I've tried weed a few times and it never got me high. What's up with that?

Grass clippings, even ones that cost 25$ won't get you high :)

Other people smoked the same stuff and got buzzed....unless they were faking it.
I think my problem is that, just like Clinton, I didn't inhale! I tried to inhale but I don't smoke cigarettes and I guess my inhaling technique is flawed.

Weed is no worse than alcohol. Actually I have never seen anyone smoke a joint and drive 100 mph the wrong way down a one way street. I think it is about moderation.

Most people smoke pot at home.
Whereas alcohol is legal and quite a few people drink at places specifically established for drinking.

Still I've been drunk and high and I think it would definiteyl be safer to drive high than drunk

Sweeping statement you say?
You have been using that often.
Exactly why I did not want to post the link, because of your typical response of "that does not prove anything"
I use myself and plenty of friends as examples, all athletes, all intelligent, all successful in anything they put there efforts into, all inhale the Jah-herb. Herb has no negative effect on the brain, only if one's dumbass self lets it. I answered this entire garbage with my first post in this thread, that is all now. peace

Yes I have used that statement a few times......all in the same context. That would be when people try to generalise too much in order to make it look like their point is beyond dispute. Why would you post a link that is clearly inconclusive at best.....especially when you say you could back your original post up if necessary? If you post a link that does not say what you say it does then you shouldn't be too suprised if somebody makes a 'typical response' of that does not prove anything.

This comment makes no sense:

"Herb has no negative effect on the brain, only if one's dumbass self lets it. "

Are you suggesting that you can conciously decide whether a chemical can affect your brain or not? Or are you saying that if you go over the top with your usage, it will affect your brain? Or what?
