While we, the United States of America, proceed to kick the ass of anyone who has ever thought of attacking us, or who even harbors terrorists, Secretary of State Colin Powell gets his panties in a bunch when Israel wages a "war on terrorism" against Nobel Peace Prize-Winning Terrorist Yasser Arafat.

he's only making an unstable chair more unstble, with arafat perched on top. what hope does the US have of appeasing any muslims if they finance someone who
a) wont listen to them
b) could de-rail a peace process they need
c) could invoke an escalation from what warfare there is now to a full blown war

one of the things i like about this administration is its not taking bullshit from anyone including sharon.

i was reading his 'chair' aint all dat stable too, people think he might be forced to call an early general election

2. Bush has declared war on TERRORISM. Terrorism is obviously not a single entity and takes on many forms.

True enough.
However:

1.) We have also declared war on any nation that harbors terrorists. "You are either with US or with the terrorists."
2.) We have "targeted" an individual responsible for masterminding the terrorist attacks in question: Osama bin Laden.

this is the best chance theyve had for peace yet,

yet it rests in th hands of a war criminal. i ust wanna see the bloodshed on both sides end and for once the US is pushing for a significant settlement

Yeah . . . Powell is deffinetely a politcker

He is playing a game here in this situation when He and the administration need to remember who our true friends are.

There are a few things about powell that I dont like.
He is wishy washy on a few conservative issues such as affirmative action(reverse descrimination) and abortion to name a couple.

I think maybe he tries to be a diplomat as aposed to more of a statesman. Meaning that he tends to want to tickle the ears of certain folks such as Arafat instead of gutting up and telling it like it is.

dont get me wrong---I like him a million times better than what gore would have offered for Sec of State---He is just not my favorite.---I do respect the man and his contribution to our great country.
