Specifically British Columbia. Can Americans move there & work? If so what do you need to do to live & work there legally? I would like to live in a nice place, where I dont have to worry as much about having a personal supply of gear. Its not criminal to posess there Im told, and the area is beautiful. Anyone have any info on this? If your a British Columbian---maybe you know of some Americans who live & work there, and have an idea as to how they went about immigrating. Thanks for any help..

The close friend of mine just got Canadian citizenship and moved to Toronto. Can't find a job. He said, it's very shovinistic country, and they don't like Americans too much.
He has great experience, but they keep telling him that his American experience is no good in Canada.
Very sad.

CHRIST! Where would Mario Lemieux or Wayne Gretzsky be if we took the same attitude?!?! I hope that isn't true. Not that Im doubting you, but rather just shocked that they would say such shit.

canada? I'd rather move to the UK. I know it's a bit futher but you don't have to worry about Custom's or getting caught for roids unless you have shitloads. The gear is also cheap as hell. I wonder if Iron Game or Fonz need a roomate? :)

hello canadian here im sorry to hear about your experience up north here and believe it or not some canadians dont even like toronto but i find it a fascinating city dont let one experience taint the picture of our country it is not like that at all toronto is the biggest city in canada or second and its like the engine of canada even though its a wonderful city it is not for everyone.. and other cities in canada are completely different and about the gear laws we have the same laws up here as you i thought... we can not buy andro dhea and docs have the same restrictions up here as well i heard of so many busts up here it is not funnny they dont mess around up here as far as gear is concerned believe me ...im not sure of the persnal amount law maybe someone can fill me in but the war is on trust me on this... but british columbia would be a great choice very beautiful but expensive as far as homes and rents are concerned alot of people like the maritimes as well nova scotia in particular beaches friendly people lower cost of living there as well alot of amercans visit eastern canada its like new england in some aspects....and as far as americans disliking americans its not true at all maybe a few hold that idea but i have met many american friends......if anything canada is beautiful and wonderful country and there is a little of us being so big yet so small population wise we sort of have the belief that you are more pwerful then us military and whatnot that some do not like that thought...and there is even talk of us spltiting up quebec leaving etc and that we would just become part of the usa eventually .but listen if you ever get the opportunity to visit there are some great gyms around and bodybuilders who will make u feel right at home.............:D

A lot of Canadians disagree with me but I think Canada's supplement and gear laws are very fair. They don't allow Andro and other trash like that to be sold to the general population, but if you are able to get gear, they won't do anything to you.

They also have tight restrictions for thermogenics like Ripped Fuel and Xenadrine, which I beleive are dangerous, but Ephedrine HCL can be sold seperately. They are just trying to protect the dumb and uneducated consumer from the unscrupulous supplement industry.

I've lived in Large cities like Montreal and smaller cities like Hamilton. The two are like two different countries. Toronto and Montreal are different from the smaller cities.

BC is beautiful, and yeah I agree - the drug laws are much better. And it's not true that we look down on Americans. In fact, at my company we just hired two people from Oregon, and they love it here. I used to live in Texas, and moved here. I had an american work visa (not same as a green card) and it was fiarly easy to get a work permit for Canada since I was in high tech.

good luck!

B.C. is a beautiful place and you should not have that much trouble finding a good job, it will depend what your qualifications are. If you don't mind a little rain and colder weather during the winter then come on over hehehe

Canadians don't like Americans? That's bullshit! Sure, we will poke fun at you guys, maybe trash talk a little, wear flags all over when abroad to make sure that we don't get mistaken for you-- but we still luv ya!

The only reason we'll maybe be a little defensive against you, is we have so much of an American Cultural influence, that we have to be on guard a little to maintain ours.

Getting into Canada to work should be pretty easy, considering how many of us head down to the States.

Americans welcome.
