American History X

This movie came out a few years ago. I dont know if it was a big player in the movies or not. I was told about it by a fellow server at work today after I was complaining about getting a bad tip from some Blacks.
I've posted alot of times with messages on how I dislike blacks etc etc because they give bad tips. The truth of the matter is I hate anyone that gives me a bad tip. I don't have problems with any race outside the resturant business but my hatred is driven by the fact that it is my money we're talking about when Im serving these people.
The one thing I learned from this movie was that its not worth it to hate someone based on their race. Its just excess baggage that sticks with you 24/7...It does nothing to the person its directed at but it eats away at you with all these negative feelings..Life is short, hatred for any reason is pointless.

I've always believed this but after having to wait on people and not get anything for it like I am a slave changes your whole view of things. I think deep down inside everyone is a good person, it's just different life experiances that lead us in the direction of our beliefs. Overall though,American History X is a great movie, I think everyone should see it.

I"ve been dying to see this movie lately but it's always rented (one DVD copy between Hollywood and Blockbuster). I could rent a video, but my VCR reacts poorly to some tapes and DVDs have made me a "bigot" of sorts. Love that quality thing!

I bought the movie a few years back on dvd.
I agree with everyone. This is a must see movie. You see what happens when you get a bunch of all white/Black/mexican,etc together in a group they end up acting like asses!!!!
Another movie along this line is, Remember the Titans, Damn fine movie!!!!!!!
I encounter many different types of people in my job and I also live near the second biggest Arab population outside of the middle east. I my opinion, Blacks and whites have a lot more in common then white and arab or black and arab.
Its true though a few people could skew your view of a race.

it was a good movie, a bit ridiculous at times though. Entertaining. The ending just caused the story line to come full circle in that Norton turned over a new leaf, but in the end you wonder if his opinion changes back, afterall his brother was killed by blacks, as was his dad.

Someone posted up a site of movie reviews done by white supremacists awhile back and I have to agree with one thing they said on there, and that was that if there is one thing that prison WILL do for you, it's turn you into a racist if you weren't one already, or turn you from an adamant racist into a rabid one. Not many people come out of prison with a more tolerant view of the other races, especially if they went in as a white supremacist.
