As i was taking the trash out to the trash chute on my floor at the dorm, a few syringes dropped into a puddle of nasty shit... So i didnt pick it up... I guess in the morning the cleaning ladies found it and reported it. The police came and took one of the syringes away... IS there anyway that they can get me for this? Should I be worried or hide my stash of gear?

I suppose they could look for fingerprints or DNA, but they would have a hard time pinning it anyone unless the canvased the dorm and fingerprinted/DNA sampled everyone.

Well first thing is you should have picked them up, a kid could have found them instead of the cleaning lady. Second, when the police find needles they usually look for scrawny heroin addicts. I wouldn't worry about it.

Dude, don't worry about it... If the shit was that nasty, I doubt the fingerprints are still going to be good... not to mention the cleaning crew probably touched them... Even if you do touch something, sometimes your fingerprint won't be good enough to do anything.

Besides, fingerprints on a syringe outside in the hall isn't enough to get a search warrant to search your house... that's not enough to establish probable cause... circumstantial.
