AM cardio and catabolism

I want to get the most out of cardio on an empty stomach in the morning, but I would also like stop the catabolism of 8 hrs of sleep. What do you think of glutamine and maybe eca before morning cardio?
 
The eca and glutamine are goning to help spare your muscle for sure, you may want to think about throwing in some BCAA's too.

The pros actually wake up during the night to eat to avoid catabolism. If your GH levels are normal, then catabolism is a very minor problem during sleep. ECA is good for preserving muscle--best taken first thing in the AM, noon, and by 3pm. Follow all your workouts with a protein supplement containing glutamine and BCAA's--drink/eat this within the hour after the workout.
 
BCAA? Uhm... I'm guessing Branch-Chained amino acid? What kind, what dosage, what schedule do y'all recommend?
